Microsoft's proposed move for ARM-based chips for its Azure cloud servers has seen the most interest in April, along with ARM's move into embedded artificial intelligence and NVIDIA's moves into AI at the network edge.
IoT analytics has also been a key topic,with both Wind River and Greenways being of key interest in moving to the edge as well. Interest in all things IoT continues to be strong for the embedded market, from IBM Watson used for Dublin's water monitoring to Actility's wide area wireless networks.
Being able to hack phones just through their accelerometers also caught the imagination of readers, if not slightly scary.
